Lousy Shots
Yesterday was the anniversary of Pearl Harbor and that is a somber moment. It reminded me of a lighter moment that happened when I was working as a migrant aircraft mechanic. In '87 I was working at Hickam Air Base which is next to Pearl Harbor. When the Japanese attacked Pearl Harbor they also attacked Hickam Field as it was called back then. One day on our way back to work after lunch, the leadman pointed out a couple of buildings as we drove by and said, "Those buildings still have pock marks from the bullets when the Japanese attacked." One of the guys said, "They were lousy shots. They didn't hit any of the windows!!"
