I know this looks like a picture from last year, but trust me, this was taken literally minutes ago. This is the first measurable snow we have seen this year. (Saw online where they had a couple inches while we were in Tejas earlier this month.) I think it's part of the tailend (or wraparound) of what's happening on the East Coast. Probably lake effect from the Northeast winds last night.
View looking out the back door. Doesn't that look all Xmas cardy????????
Well, better you than me. We got 4 inches of rain and trees down. But at least I did not have to pull out my snow blower like I did last Halloween. And Yeah, it looks all Xmas cardy and stuff.......Bah Humbug!
ReplyDeleteSnow fuel like and old fuel?
ReplyDeleteMelly Clistmas to you and yours.
Ok,
ReplyDeleteCorrect my ass if I am wrong but I was once told that the Yoopers experience snow every month of the year except July.
Now, I can remember the summers at KI being wet and windy and there may well have been fluries north of where you live on the Keewenaw Peninsula - But isn't like late Oct early Nov normal for an accumulating snow up there?
Ron
Beautiful pics! Glad it's over on your side and not here yet.
ReplyDeleteI think I'd rather bitch about all the rain we get here, at least it's not cold enough for snow to stick. Not very often anyway.
ReplyDeleteSarge, consider your ass corrected, it has snowed on the Fourth of July. (That's when we put on the new winter tires and change the anti-freeze.)
ReplyDeleteAnytime from the beginning of Oct. to the end of Nov. is when we can expect the snow to stick and stay until spring.
