Stupid Human Tricks

Talking with The Old Lady this morning about close calls we've had because of other driver's stupidity. She mentioned how recently she almost rear-ended someone because they almost stopped on the highway to see what a cop was doing. Probably writing a ticket or assisting a motorist. Slowing down is one thing, but you don't have come to a stop. I recalled how someone stopped on the highway (two lane blacktop UP on the Tundra) to let a school bus stopped on the highway make a left turn (why the FUCK they thought they had to stop to allow the bus to turn, I'll never know) and I came over a hill with a loaded semi. I laid on the air horn and passed them on the shoulder because there was no way I could stop in time. Hopefully they had to go home to change!! If the driver of the school bus had been dumb enough to make the turn, it could have been a real nasty accident.

Until then I had thought the stopping to allow on-coming traffic to make a left turn was a Cape Cod phenomenon. During their busy summer months it almost makes sense as there is usually a steady stream of traffic in both directions on the roads on Cape Cod. When it makes no Fucking Sense Whatsoever is when I am the only car behind the one that stops to allow a left turn. That happened to me and after about the third time this asshole stopped to let someone make a left turn or pull out of a side street, I laid on the horn to let him know I was not pleased. He got out of his car and came back to mine and said he was being courteous to other drivers and did I have a problem with that. I said, "I sure as hell do have a problem with that when I'm the only fucking car behind you and if you would just keep moving the other car could make its turn after I go by!!" Flipped him off and drove around his car to get in front of him!!

And something that happens fairly often UP here on the Tundra, someone pulls out in front of a loaded logging truck. Those trucks can have up to 164,000 pounds of logs on them, but some people either don't see them or think they can stop on a dime!!

How the Fuck Did This Moron Get Elected?????

Rep. John Fleming (Louisiana, Retard ) posted this on his facebook wall.  It's a link to an article in The Onion.  I guess his regular source of bullshit lies wasn't working at the time!!

Saw a comment on a blog that said The Onion is like Faux News only funnier and more subtle. 

This is the same asshole that claimed last year that he couldn't afford to pay more in taxes because even tho his various businesses made over 6 million, by the time he feeds his family he only has about 400K left!!

Government-Hating Circle-Jerk Echo Chamber

The Old Lady says I should trademark or copyright that phrase.  Would that I could.  I came up with the phrase "Government-Hating Circle-Jerk Echo Chamber" after receiving numerous e-mails from a relative.  E-mails that were either Far-Right in nature or extremely racist Anti-Obama ones.  I have known for years that there are groups of individuals that send e-mails around to lists of people in their e-mail contacts.(Having been inflicted to e-mails by more than one individual.)  It was just recently that I thought of these groups as an electronic 'Circle-Jerk'.  The other two parts of the phrase are self-explanatory, everything from the Never-RightWingNut fringe is "Government-Hating".  Most of the e-mails are circulated to like-minded people so as to form an "Echo Chamber", because they keep reinforcing each other with these e-mails.  The sad fact is they don't think before they click on "Forward" and in this case the box should be labeled "Backward"!!

In a post last week I mentioned going back and forth with this person on FB.  (Actually I would have been better off arguing with a stump, at least when you get tired of arguing with the stump, you can sit on it and rest.)  One of the final straws was an e-mail about your order has been backordered and said due to explosive demand your order is backordered.  Then when you scrolled down there was a picture of Obama on an urinal cake holder in an urinal.  Now as much as I despise aWol, I would never do anything like this to him.  In fact, I wouldn't piss on aWol if he was on fire!!!

 

As a result of this and other racist e-mails, I sent him a goodbye e-mail asking him if his God was OK with his ignorance and bigotry??  His response was a reply that said "God loves you", like I give a shit about whether or not his imaginary friend likes me!!!!  He is one of the lunatic fringe that scares me, a Bible-Banging NRA nut.

The sad part is we grew up together are were good friends most of the time.  His father claims his ex-wife drove him crazy and he may have a point.  Seems like he got to be worse while he was a civilian employee for an Army aircraft facility in Texas.  While he hated Texas, working there seemed to reinforce the Hard-RightWing Military mindset.  He unfriended me on Facebook, but I'll survive.

Sometimes You Wonder

There are times when someone will say something or post a comment somewhere or send you an e-mail and you wonder How In The Fuck Can I Be Related To That Person????? The latest one happened after HCR passed in Congress and someone posted some Tea Bagger bullshit.

I can't understand why anyone would want to stick with the status quo. Do they really want to stay with denying people coverage because they got sick or were born with a condition?? How about kicking people off their insurance when they need it most because they got sick??? Keep the drug donut hole for seniors so they have to decide what bills to pay or take their drugs???? Kick the kids off the parents plan when they turn 18????

Do they really think that by allowing the insurance companies free rein that then they will out of the goodness of their hearts keep premiums low???? How Fucking Stupid are they???? Just like death and taxes, another constant is that the premiums will rise. Left unchecked the insurance companies will gouge the hell out of us. While I don't think this is a good health care bill, it is a start to control the insurance companies and the costs.

For all those that claim we should let the private market take care of health care, they have been running it since FOREVER and haven't fixed it yet. Insurance companies are the Fucking Problem, so how are they going to fix it?????
