Hemp Car

Making a car out of hemp is not a new idea.   First saw an article on a hemp car in Popular Science and went looking for more info on the intratubes.  Was surprised to find out about the Ford hemp car.  Ford made one back in 1941.
The hemp fiber makes it lighter and is cheaper than either fiberglas or carbon fiber.

When you no longer can use the car, instead of sending it to the junkyard, you can smoke it!! Win, Win.

  1. Your politicians are afraid to legalize hemp because it also makes great ROPES.

  2. The original inclusion and demonization of Cannabis in the US was spearheaded and funded by William Randolph Hearst and his media empire of newspapers. He owned vast tracts of timber land and saw pulp derived from a crop that produced more paper pulp per acre than his trees as competition he had to get rid of. After all, what is the point of owning trees if you can't turn them into paper?

And since 1937, this country has been hoodwinked and cheated of probably one of the most versatile agricultural products since the soy bean.

We are indeed a country of stupid people.

And BTW - I had heard about the proposed ME legislation legalizing Pot, but had yet to see the video - Thanks for that link. We'll see if Maine shows some common sense.

  4. I'm just back in town for a short time and I'm leaving again tomorrow but there will be a new post up in the morning.

Hey, not all hemp is the same, you can't smoke a car after it dies, but you might be able to enjoy some campfires from it.
