The Old Lady's New Toy

We get a golf cart to use as campground hosts. After I showed The Old Lady how to operate it and she drove it around the campground she was hooked. She loves driving it around. She said it is real simple to operate. I told her it has to be simple to operate it so golfers can use it.

One of things we have to do is pick up trash if any is left on the campsites, that's why there is a garbage can in the back of the cart.

This is how simple it is. The pedals tell the story. The only other thing is you have to turn the key on and there is a lever to shift from forward to reverse.

The above pictures were taken with my tablet. This picture was taken even tho I couldn't see what I was taking a picture of because of the glare on the tablet.

  1. It's not bad considering it is 25 years old.

  2. I would love to have a golf cart if I could use it to tool around Monkeyville. I wander what the range on them is, would want one that could go ten miles round trip.

  3. I'm leaving early Monday for a trip to Texas to meet Sandra and Dave, I hope that with the little camper I made that I get 18 MPG but that may be wishful thinking. But if I only get 16 MPG that will be good enough.

  5. This golf cart has a gas tank that holds about 5 gallons. Not sure how far that would go, but it should be a lot more than 10 miles. An electric cart would probably have a range more than 10 miles and you could recharge it at home.

If I ever win the lottery I would like to get an electric UTV. Some of them have a range of about 50 miles which would be more than enough for using around the "ranch".
