St. Urho's Day

Actual translation is: "Grasshopper, grasshopper go to hell".

St. Urho chased all the grasshoppers out of Finland and saved the grape crop.  Good thing as now they can celebrate St. Urho's day properly!!

Remember to wear purple and green today!!

  1. St Patrick did one better, chasing the snakes out of Ireland. Now, no matter how much whiskey one drinks in Ireland one never sees snakes.

  2. There never was any snakes in Ireland but that is beside the point, these monkeys do love their myths.

  3. Quando Omni Flunkus Moritati.

(when all else fails play dead)
    The Red Green Show

  4. BBC is correct but no Irishman would let facts stand in the way of a good story.
